Dear Homeowners,

Due to the consistent monitoring and fast reporting of potential illegal rentals the Brookhaven Law Department Investigators were able to enforce the town codes at 3 different properties. 2 in the M section and one on Cornwallis. These locations were caught violating the town codes and the investigators were able to gain access and issue appearance tickets for violations.

We now believe that they have moved some of the students out of these homes to and had to take other actions to hopefully bring these illegal rentals into compliance and will have to answer appearance tickets they were issued for these violations.

We all know the games these landlords play and this might only be temporary win ,but with all of our eyes and ears reporting daily we should be able to keep them on the radar and will report any changes we see instantly to the Brookhaven Law Department.

Hopefully, these landlords will get the message and put their homes up for sale to families. We need to send a strong message College Rental Homes are not welcome in our single family neighborhoods.

Thank you Brookhaven Town for your support to eradicate this ongoing infestation of our neighborhoods with illegal college rentals.

Anyone up for a RALLY to protest in front of landlords homes?

Please reply and we can set something up, but we will need a strong presence of homeowners at the RALLY to make our issue meaningful.

Please email me and let me know if you would want to join us.

Thank You,

Bruce
